Jubilee
Campaign's October 5th,
"Celebrate
Freedom" banquet
is a success!
A wonderful,
willing team of volunteers arrived
to
the facility hours before the program began. Their
support was invaluable! Guests soon began to arrive,
perusing displays which detailed the work of Jubilee
and its partners with brochures, pictures, books, and
reports from staff and volunteers. This gave the guests
an introduction into the hardships of persecuted
Christians and children at risk and into the ministries
responding to these needs. After a tasty meal, the
program began. Great fellowship was enhanced by
fantastic speakers: |

Danny Smith's overview
of slavery opened our eyes to the breadth
of slavery worldwide.
K.K. Deveraj, while
describing the poignant needs of children
from Bombay's Red Light district, pointed
us to the hope of the Gospel.
Steve Camp's singing
was an expression of worship.
Ann Buwalda provided
an insightful and comprehensive view
into the heartbeat of Jubilee Campaign.
The evening's highlight was Congressman
Trent Franks: his sincere
dedication to freeing captives was
truly an inspiration!
Testimonies from guests:
"Friday night's banquet really showed
the reach of the ministry. [The banquet]
was surely a blessing for the people
at my table."
"The
program for the Freedom Banquet was
quite 'eye-opening' for me personally."
"We
were blessed by the banquet... The
guests were touched by the message
they heard and we pray they will take
action.""The
banquet...was very moving and my husband
noted that it was quite an enlightenment
for him."
A
challenge from a guest: "We are
convinced this is a critical time for
God's people...We pray that Americans
will step up as partners."
We
are also grateful for the donations and
pledges which support ministry partners
and their on-going work around the world.
Praise the Lord!
In
summary, we praise the Lord for His
provision and encouragement at the Fall
2007 Celebrate Freedom Banquet. |
