CURRENT
& ONGOING JUBILEE PROJECTS
FREEING
CHILD SLAVES IN INDIA
Jubilee Campaign works in partnership
with Bombay Teen Challenge to operate
a number of "Jubilee Homes" for the
children of commercial sex workers
in Mumbai, India, including an Orphan
Home for children whose mothers have
died of AIDS. We seek to rescue children
who have been caught in Mumbai's thriving
sex trade, and help them to make a
new start. Many of the residents in
the newest Jubilee Home (opened in
early 2006) are HIV-positive themselves,
and many have seen their conditions
improve dramatically since coming
to the Orphan Home. |

AIDING
VICTIMS OF PERSECUTION IN PAKISTAN
Jubilee administers the Aid to Victims'
Families Fund to assist the families
of Pakistanis who have been murdered,
incapacitated or driven into hiding
because of unjust accusations of blasphemy.
We cooperate in this effort with our
partners in Lahore, Pakistan, the
Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and
Settlement (CLAAS). |

ADVOCATING
ON CAPITOL HILL
Jubilee staff develop and maintain
relationships with Congressional offices
and executive agencies that focus
on international religious freedom,
and raise specific cases of concern
before these offices on a regular
basis. Staff members participate in
a number of high-profile coalitions
and working groups to multiply our
efforts to bring justice to those
suffering in silence around the world.
Jubilee Campaign organizes rallies,
press conferences and Congressional
hearings to highlight the concerns
of various groups. |

CARING
FOR ORPHANS IN INDONESIA
Along with our local partners, Jubilee
Campaign operates the Caleb Chandler
House, a residential facility for
children orphaned in the sectarian
violence in the late 1990s in the
Maluku Islands of Indonesia. |

LOBBYING
AT THE UN
Jubilee Campaign has consultative
status with the United Nations, and
has participated in the annual meetings
of the UN Human Rights Commission.
Although the Commission was dissolved
in 2006 and replaced with a Human
Rights Council, we intend to maintain
ties with the new body and utilize
our special status to raise issues
of human rights and religious freedom
before the international community
whenever possible. |

TRAVELING
ON FACTFINDING MISSIONS
One of the key aspects of fighting
injustice is getting your facts straight.
Jubilee Campaign is dedicated to staying
informed firsthand of the plight of
those who are oppressed in various
countries of the world. We continually
travel to the countries where our
projects are located, conduct numerous
interviews, take photos, and release
reports on conditions affecting the
Christian community and oppressed
children in each country. Representatives
of Jubilee Campaign have visited Brazil,
Egypt, India, Indonesia, Laos, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam to
investigate religious freedom and
human rights abuses firsthand, and
have circulated reports on our findings
to relevant government officials.
